Well it’s been awhile since we've seen a good car modification. The last one was the X-Box 360 Car Mod . Now, thanks to a Ruskie hacker, an Eee PC gets crammed into a automobile dashboard!He is posting an article showing how to take a 7 inch Eee PC apart and turn it into a car computer that hooks into an auto stereo system and it even acts as a graphic equalizer.
The resulted product is a computer in your car with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of built in storage plus an 8GB SDHC card, a 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel display, Bluetooth, a slot-loading DVD-RW drive, GPS, 5.1 channel audio, a touschreen, and a boatload of USB adapters that string the whole thing together.
We can almost hear you guys getting your tools out to make it too... :)

That's a pretty sweet mod, it'd be cool to have an Eee PC in my dashboard but I don't really have the technical knowhow to do it. The end product sounds amazing with a dvd drive, touchscreen and usb ports. It definitely challenges the xbox 360 mod but I still think that one looked more impressive with the controller in the steering wheel.
I like driving different cars... so I am impressed...
